To help people of any age deal more effectively with anger, it helps to have a bag of hands-on items specifically designed for "chilling out." Before angry feelings grow beyond our control, each of us should have our own personal bag of touchable manipulatives we can pull out and use to help us calm down. Then we can think of better ways to cope or deal with the situation. This plan may consist of different strategies for different situations.
The "Chill Out Bag" contains an instruction manual and a collection of nine special props that can be helpful in different kinds of anger provoking situations:
